Just Peachy. Peach Inspiration For Summer!

Nothing says summer like a fresh Georgia peach! The fresh, juicy peaches are truly a south Georgia delicacy, and we can’t get enough! If you’re looking for peach cocktails, peach desserts, peach cobbler, or peach outfits, we’ve got you covered.

Avoly’s husband is 4th generation peach farmer. Their family started growing peaches in the early 1940s. Their farm grows around 22,500,000 pounds of peaches a year! That number will change depending on the size of the crop. Crop size is determined by cold weather in the winter so the tree will stay dormant until spring, late spring frost killing small peaches, and the amount of rain received during the summer. Their farm grows over 30 varieties of peaches.

When it’s hot, hot, hot, this summer, cool off with a Frozen Peach Bellini! This frozen Peach Bellini recipe is an upgrade on the classic Italian cocktail made with just three ingredients: sweet peaches, prosecco, and peach schnapps! The refreshingly light peach flavor and cool frozen slushy texture make these the perfect Summer cocktail.

This recipe from The Novice Chef takes just 5 minutes to whip! Just don’t forget to peel and freeze one pound of peaches the night before. All it takes is 3 cups Prosecco, 1/3 cup Peach Schnapps, a pinch of sugar, and your frozen peaches. Simply add all the ingredients to a blender, and puree until smooth. Garnish with mint leaves or fresh peach slices.

Try this light and deliciously peachy cocktail: the Georgia Peach drink! It’s sweet/tart with a stunning two-toned color. It’s a fun take on a Fuzzy Navel, but with a little something extra. This is the perfect drink to sip on at your Friday afternoon happy hour!

With just 4 ingredients, this is such an easy recipe to make! You can definitely keep these ingredients on hand all summer long, and you’ll always have a fancy cocktail to make if someone stops by. How fun! Just stir peach schnapps, white rum, and orange juice with some ice, and gently float an ounce of cranberry juice to give it that gorgeous two-tone look. Then garnish with your peaches and a little mint!

Peach Cobbler is truly a southerner’s staple. It’s so easy to make and will leave your kitchen smelling like a bakery. We love this recipe from Back To My Southern Roots; it’s easy, quick, and requires little clean-up (which is definitely the best part!).

Is it fair to say that a peachy color looks good on everyone? Because we think it does. Whether you’re running errands and want a little color, are heading to brunch and want to stand out, or are taking a peach cobbler to a dinner party, peach is always a good color choice.
