When did Emily McCarthy begin, and what's your favorite part of running a business? 

I started the company in 2009, which at the time, was a stationery and entertaining e-commerce store. It later turned into a brick-and-mortar shoppe in historic Savannah, Georgia. In the Fall of 2019, we expanded the brand to include our very own clothing label incorporating my signature prints and classic style. Fast forward, we are very thankful to have numerous retailers (including our fav MeMe’s!), a local go-to gift and apparel shoppe, and a thriving online business.

Three things I never tire of are... A great handbag, bright colors, and gold will always be a classic.

Favorite meal, dessert, or cocktail? All things Italian, Cannoli, Tequila (only reposado or anejo!)

How do you stay inspired? Traveling when we can, also following a few of my favorite travel accounts so my feed stays enriched with inspiring content.

How would you describe your personal style? Who are your personal style icons? I love drama…a big sleeve, collar, or a bold color/print. Iris Apfel has always been my fav.

If you could buy one thing from MeMe's, what would it be and how would you style it? Of course, I’m partial to our own label, but I do LOVE a good Hunter Bell piece. Her pieces have the most incredible detail and structure. 

If you had to only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, would you pick a dress or a top & jeans? Definitely a dress all the way, more comfortable and easy peasy.
